I wanted to address a problem we have seen a lot of here in Arizona regarding vaccinations, particulary for new puppies. We have seen clients who either had no idea if their puppy had been vaccinated, simply taking the word of the breeder (a bad idea) or assuming the puppy was safe because they got a record book with stickers from their breeder indicating that the vaccines given their puppy were from vaccinations kits you can buy in pet shops.
It is very important to understand that “store bought” vaccine kits which do not require a prescription from your veterinarian are only about 50% the strength of actual vaccines given by a licensed veterinarian, and will not prevent diseases such as parvovirus. Many people see them as a cheap way out, or breeders use them to “cut costs.” Do not be fooled by this. Vaccinations for young puppies are paramount and not something you cannot be casual about.
Many people are unaware the pharmaceutical companies that manufacture these vaccines have specifc chemicals in them corresponding the the environment the dog is living in. What this means is that a vaccine designed for dogs in the northeast, is not biologically the same as those for dogs in the southwest. They contain specific chemicals to optimize the dogs resistance to disease in its particular enviornment.
Where the welfare of your new little pup or older dog who’s vaccination history is unknown, you owe it to the dog and yourself to get the correct vaccines from a licensed veterinarian. Thanks for reading and have some fun with your dog today!
Generic vaccine kits

Boarding/ Daycare Options

We offer boarding and daycare in our home for a limited number of dogs. We do not conventionally “kennel” dogs, as they are given the run of the house, yard, and pool area, and are kept under vigilant supervision. This provides a fun and stimulating experience for the dog, as he/she is allowed to interact and socialize with other dogs, play and spend his/her time free and loose around the property, as well as having people there constantly to play with and supervise their activities. Dogs are only kenneled at night or when they are sleeping.

Dogs that are not social or whose owners would prefer that they NOT be around other dogs are no problem. They receive the same treatment as the other dogs. We are happy to take care of any special considerations that your dog may have, such as making sure they receive their medications, or stay on that special diet your dog is on. We feed the dog’s regular food provided by the client unless instructed otherwise. Unlike most facilities, there is no extra charge for this service.

Pickup and delivery (return) of the dog is available for an additional fee.

Please contact us for more information and rates.
