I wanted to reach out and say a few things about the services you provide for Luca back in May and write a brief recommendation. The services you provided and the results we received were beyond what we were expecting. We brought Luca to K9 at very early age which typically is not normal and can be more of a challenge, but Mark and the K9 team were more than up for the challenge. We were informed on a frequent basis how he was doing during the boot camp and even were sent pictures via email. Upon delivery of our small pup, Mark went over extensively on how to continue these commands, gestures and routines to make sure Luca did not break training. The fact Luca was able to socialize with a group of dogs from all sizes has benefited him to this day. Mark even drove up to our residence 3-4 times (45 minutes drive each way) and had one on one sessions to refresh and make sure we were keeping true to our regiment with Luca. Overall the experience was amazing and went beyond my expectations. I would and have recommended Desert Sky K9 to friends in the area who need a little help correcting some doggy issues. Several years ago I had surgery and was in the hospital for almost two weeks and I didn't want my GSD service dog, Woody, in the hospital that long. So I knew a friend of mine that I met thru my dentist who's husband is a dog trainer. So, I talked to Mark Govoni of Desert Sky K9, about his qualifications and experience of working w/ a GSD Czech import and protection training and of service dog handling skills. I was completely blown away how my service dog completely took to Mark! Woody felt very secure being away from me on a trial basis to see how he would do without me being there, and Woody did extremely well.

So, I had Woody stay w/ Mark for the two weeks while I was in the hospital and Mark took Woody out in the public so that Woody wouldn't forget his service work duties. Mark elaborated on Woody's retrieving skills and stopped Woody from pulling at the leash! Desert Sky K9 even took Woody to his Dermatology Vet for his weekly allergy injections for me! Woody became part of their family... as their dogs all got along with him and they played in the pool together, and even their puppy was sleeping on him! Woody was also enrolled in their Boot Camp program several times where he stays at their home and has training sessions, and even graduated with a certificate and a photograph!

I highly recommend Mark for his training regime where he uses the positive reinforcement method and is fun for your dog. Whether you want your dog there for just boarding or their board and train program, aka Boot Camp, your dog will have have a great time, learn plenty and will be supervised 24/7. I explicitly entrust the life of my highly skilled and life saving service dog with Mark,as I will NOT just hand over his leash to just anyone, and in fact, arrangements have already been made that if anything happens to me, that Mark will take over the care of Woody.
